Peralta PTA wants to hear your art stories so we can better advocate for all children

 

Hi, I’m Pam Chang and I am the Arts Adviser for the Peralta PTA.  This is a new position and what we want to do is provide info from the Ed Code so that parents and teachers understand that education in all the arts is mandatory.  When you know what is required, you have more power as you advocate.  I am hoping to get a sense of what art (visual arts, dance, music, drama, film) is available at your children’s schools.  So we can begin to borrow best practices and find what out what is missing…….I know, I know, a lot is missing.  Hope to hear from you all soon.  You don’t have to identify yourself in your reply.  But please tell me what school or schools you are talking about.  A million thanks.
